How to Set Up a Webinar
Do you run webinars in your business? Setting up a webinar may seem like a convenient solution for bringing people together for a virtual event. However, behind the scenes, there is infrastructure to set up before you can invite your attendees.
In this 10-minute video, I’ll demonstrate the complete process to set up your webinar infrastructure in a Marketing/CRM software like ActiveCampaign. The video is sped up and represents about 30 minutes of work in ActiveCampaign to create the baseline automation structure and landing page required to support a webinar. This process will work on different marketing automation platforms, but you’ll need a system capable of email automation, and a landing page builder.
Now you might be thinking: “Hey Paul, aren’t there webinar platforms that can do this for me?” Short answer: Yes!
There are any number of webinar / meeting platforms that have features like registration pages, email notifications and reminders, and follow-up sequences. If webinars represent a large part of your business, then those platforms might be useful, but they represent an added cost and many business owners would rather invest that $$$ elsewhere.
So these instructions will assume that you already have access to some type of online meeting or webinar software, along with your email marketing/CRM tool and a landing page builder, or ability to add new pages to your website.
